1.1 The school admits learners in accordance with the feeder zone determined by the Head of Department after consultation, under paragraph 34 of the National Admission Policy for Ordinary Public Schools, 1998.
1.2 Admission is subject to available capacity as determined by the Head of Department under Section 58C(6) of the South African Schools Act 84 of 1996. The school shall not exceed the capacity communicated to the governing body.
1.3 The language of instruction at this school is English. Learners whose home language is not English may be admitted subject to the school's capacity to provide the required support.

The BELA Act commenced on 24 December 2024 and changed admissions, language policy and the rules on discipline. A model trained before that date answers from the Act as it was — fluently, confidently, and wrongly. It does not flag the gap, because it does not know there is one.

The Head of Department determines your school's minimum and maximum capacity, and must communicate it to the chairperson and principal in writing by 30 September each year.
